RGB RacersTim Hoverd - this one's Tim's original build site and racing diary. This provided lots of the inspiration that got me into trouble and he's continually provisded loads of help throughout my build and race preparation. He's now moved onto a WordPress blog here Derek Jones has a blog. Derek's fast. Very fast. YouTube RGB VideosDerek Jones - Class A BDN S2, Kawasaki ZX12 engine. Usually pole sitter, running away with 2008 championship. Paul Rogers - Class B Stuart Taylor Phoenix, Yamaha R1 engine. Paul's another nice bloke who's been really helpful to me particularly during the race prep of the car. Al Boulton - Class C stuart Taylor Phoenix, carbed Honda Fireblade engine. Josh Smith - Class B Stuart Taylor Phoenix, Yamaha R1 engine. 750MC RGB SeriesThe RGB series is for Road Going Bike-engined cars - there are three classes for diffeent engine capacities, all cars must be MOT-able apart from emissions and control tyre is Yokohama A048R. 750 Motor Club - club organising the RGB series. RGB Racing Forum - forum for RGB racers. There's an old forum here. SuppliersAlthough I can obviously not guarantee any kind of service from the suppliers listed below I'm only listing ones I'm happy to personally recommend be that on the basis of value for money, expertise, helpfulness etc. I have no connection with any of them apart from as a happy customer. Rally Design - score well on all the above points. Their online catalogue is pretty user friendly, prices are competitive and when you have any queries I've always found them to be really knowledgebale ad helpful. I've used them mostly for hoses, connectors, springs etc. AB Performance - sponsor of the RGB race series Andy Bates is a top bloke, knows loads about anything bike engine but really good on everything else - electrics, suspension setup etc. Really friendly, really helpful. Merlin Motorsport - suppliers of most motorsport componentry. Rally Design will be cheaper if they stock it but Merlin offer a quality service and a very wide range of motorsport components. Demon Tweeks - I know, I know, Demon Thieves and all that. But seriously I've found the staff there very helpful and knowledgeable whether on the phone or in the showroom and they stock a huge range of stuff. Promax Motorsport - OK, so their website's defunct and they have nothing to do with circuit racing but the boys at Promax are vastly experienced at anything mechanical. Their main claim to fame is prepping Group N Mitsubishi Evos and indeed I got to know them as they looked after my road going Evo. They also did the suspension setup on my Westfield and swapped the crownwheel and pinion on my Escort/.Sierra diff in the Fury. Trustworthy and offering good value for money. Give em a ring and tell them I sent you. Vehicle Wiring Products - for all autoelectrical stuff. Massive range, good value for money and fast delivery. Tifosi - no, nothing to do with Ferrari fans but a supplier of fasteners. I get all my stainless fasteners, rivets etc. from Kevin at Tifosi. Also supplies all the SVA type stuff. |
